Temporary Front Entrance & Zoomobile Station Relocation

Due to the construction of the new Community Conservation Centre at your Toronto Zoo, we have rerouted guests to a temporary front entrance. When you arrive, please follow the on-site signs directing you through the Kids Zoo Discovery Zone.

During this construction period:

• Accessibility parking spots have been added in section C, which is the closest section to our temporary entrance.
• The Peacock Café will be temporarily closed.
• Guests can access Tim’s Express at the Tundra Zoomobile stop and the Caffeine Cruiser outside Zootique (weather permitting).
• The Zoomobile main station has been temporarily relocated to Indo-Malaya.

We appreciate your patience during this time of exciting growth!

Please note that some of our outdoor animals may not always be viewable, as they have access to climate-controlled, behind-the-scenes habitats based on their seasonal needs.

Tundra Trek Access
Accessible only via the wolf habitat path closest to Caribou Café due to construction in the polar bear habitat. Polar bears remain viewable in their grass habitat.

Your Toronto Zoo turned 50 on August 15, 2024 and there are exciting changes happening! 

During your visit you will notice significant fencing and construction at our front entrance, but please note there are no animal habitats impacted due to this construction. We are proud to be investing in a new Community Conservation Centre at our front entrance area that will be a state-of-the-art community space, including classroom spaces in partnership with local educational institution partners, other community spaces, and a new otter habitat! This space will be an opportunity to engage more people with our mission of connecting people, animals, and conservation science to fight extinction. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause as we work to improve your Zoo experience. Keep an eye on our website and social media for exciting updates and more details on this project!
